Hi! I'm Rebecca Driever, but Becca is fine. I've always had a passion for music, sports, and social justice, and been intrigued by the various insights data in those sectors can provide. My life and experiences have shaped my interests and passions, so this website is a little insight into all of the above.
My life has come to reflect a famous Tennessee Williams quote: "America has 3 cities - New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland." I grew up in upstate NY, completed my Bachelors in New Orleans (my mom is from NOLA too), earned my Master's Degree in San Francisco, and have made my way home to NYC.
Currently working as a Product Analyst for the largest independent music distributor in the world. I work closely with our 5 PMs and CPO to guide product development and maintenance decisions with data. From A/B tests to pricing experimentation to predicting churn, I help DistroKid sustain 25%+ YoY revenue growth and 10%+ user growth.
Started interning with SmartBiz in June 2019 while working on my MS in Business Analytics, and worked my way up in the organization to Associate Data Scientist over 2 years. As a founding member of the Data Science team, I delt with ambiguity and used my product knowledge and data science accumen to determine the best data solutions for the company. During the course of the Paycheck Protection Program for COVID relief, I helped increase application processing volume 5x while maintaing our commitment to our banks by detecting over 100,000 suspected fraudlent applications.
As a Business Analyst as part of my MS Practicum Project, I evaluated and redeveloped their pricing strategy. Tasks completed included exploratory data analysis, a Tableau seating chart and dashboards, and development of a model to make income and donation projections.
Achieved Master of Science in Business Analytics at UC Davis in June 2020.
Relevant coursework included Data Management (SQL), Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Data Visualization.
Received BBA in Business Analytics and Music Industry Studies from Loyola Uniersity New Orleans in May 2019.
